The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy is a national organization of law students, law professors, judges, practicing lawyers and others. Our goal is to restore the fundamental principles of respect for human dignity, protection of individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice to their rightful place in American law.
The Yale Law School chapter of ACS brings together progressive students, professors, and legal practitioners to debate, discuss, and build the intellectual foundations of a more progressive constitutional and political future. We organize "liberal-liberal" debates, brown bag lunches, reading groups, and other events and special projects. In 2005 we will sponsor our first major conference: The Constitution in 2020.
