Asia Law Forum, Law School
The Asia Law Forum is a student-run organization at the Yale Law
School that sponsors speakers on all aspects of Asian legal development.
Its purpose is to promote students' interest in and understanding
of this subject. While the Asia Law Forum is flexible in terms of
format, in the past it has invited prominent legal scholars and
professionals, government regulators, and heads of institutions
to present talks and exchange their ideas with students of the law
school and the Yale community at large. islandia.law.yale.edu/asialawforum

Council on East Asian Studies, Yale Center
for International and Area Studies
The Council on East
Asian Studies continues a long tradition of East Asian Studies
at Yale by organizing lectures, conferences, seminar series and
film series to provide a forum for discussion and support for the
study of China, Japan, and Korea. In 1999, the Council initiated
a Postdoctoral Associates Program, bringing talented individuals
into the community of scholars at Yale. East Asian Studies endowments
make it possible for the Council to support over 40 student research
projects per year. An undergraduate major and a Master's degree
program are offered at Yale in East Asian Studies. With more than
20 core faculty and 15 language instructors, East Asian Studies
remains one of Yale's most extensive programs in area studies. The
Council is one of several that exists at the Yale
Center for International and Area Studies. For information regarding

Greater China Student Interest Group,
School of Management.
The mission of the Greater
China Student Interest Group (GCSIG) members is to better understand
the complex and often changing political, economic, and social issues
in China as it pertains to today's global economy. The GCSIG aims
to create forums to discuss current issues, exchange information,
share predictions, challenge ideas, and dispel misconceptions. In
doing so, we hope to develop a presence as a resource within the
greater Yale community, experts among other business school peers,
and future managers in the region.
