Joanna Radbord

Joanna Radbord is a lawyer with Epstein Cole, LLP, in Toronto. Her practice focuses on family law and equality rights, particularly for the GLBT communities. Joanna worked extensively on M. v. H., litigation which resulted in the amendment of hundreds of statutes across Canada to provide equal treatment to same-sex couples. Joanna has also been involved with the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, including acting as co-counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, and she sits on the Board of the Journal of the Association of Research on Mothering and the Journal of GLBT Family Studies. Joanna was co-counsel to the eight Ontario and Quebec same-sex couples who won the freedom to choose civil marriage.
